Terms of Use

Last updated: 1 November 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the VeeTerm app for iPhone and iPad ("VeeTerm", "the app"). By downloading or using VeeTerm you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. The app

VeeTerm is an SSH terminal client. It lets you connect to your own servers over SSH, keep sessions running with tmux, transfer files over SFTP, manage SSH keys, and ask an optional AI assistant about terminal output, using your own API key. VeeTerm runs on your device; we operate no server for it.

2. Apple's standard licence

VeeTerm is licensed, not sold, to you for use only under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, as supplemented by these Terms. Where these Terms and the Apple standard EULA conflict on a point the Apple EULA covers, the Apple EULA applies.

3. Price

VeeTerm is currently free and offers no in-app purchases. If paid features are offered in the future, their price and terms are shown in the app before any purchase and posted on this page. Purchases, if any, are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment details.

4. Bring-your-own-key AI

The AI assistant is optional and off by default. It requires an API key from a third-party AI provider that you supply. You are responsible for your provider account, its costs, and complying with that provider's terms. The AI assistant only explains: it never runs a command. AI output may be wrong or incomplete; review anything before you rely on it.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree to use VeeTerm lawfully and only with servers, accounts and content you are authorised to access. You are responsible for your servers, credentials, commands and backups. You must not use the app to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.

6. Third-party services

When you choose to use them, third-party services (your SSH hosts, your AI provider, your ntfy server, Apple's App Store and iCloud) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. No warranty

VeeTerm is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms. The current version is posted on this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
