Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 November 2026

VeeTerm is an SSH terminal for iPhone and iPad. This policy describes every way data can leave your device. The short version: VeeTerm has no servers, no accounts and no tracking. We collect no data.

1. We collect nothing

VeeTerm contains no analytics, no crash reporters, no advertising SDKs and no third-party telemetry. We run no server that receives your data. We do not know which hosts you connect to, what you type, or whether you use the app at all. There is no account to create and nothing to sign in to.

Apple's standard crash reports may be sent to Apple if you opted into sharing with app developers during iOS setup. Apple anonymises them, they contain no terminal content, and Apple's privacy policy governs them.

2. What stays on your device

Host entries, session names, snippets, terminal scrollback and app settings are stored on your device. Host passwords, SSH private keys and AI API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain, protected by the device passcode and Face ID or Touch ID.

3. What can leave your device

Nothing is sent in the background on our behalf. Network activity happens only for features you set up and start yourself:

4. AI conversations

AI conversations live in memory for the current session and are not saved between launches. You can clear a conversation at any time from the AI panel. Turning the AI off in Settings stops all AI network activity.

5. Children

VeeTerm is a developer tool and is not directed at children. We knowingly collect no data from anyone, including children.

6. Third-party services

When you choose to use them, these independent services receive only the data you direct to them, under their own privacy policies:

VeeTerm bundles open-source components (terminal emulator, SSH library). They run on your device and send nothing to us.

7. Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version is posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
